Holistic Therapy for Women Navigating Perimenopause

& the midlife transition

Online Counseling in California & Louisiana

Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here.

If you’ve found your way to this page your world may feel upside down and out of control. And it’s possible your body feels the same. This is part of perimenopause. Your mind, body and spirit are in a (rather bumpy) transition to your next stage of life.

You are not broken, even though it may feel that way.

Many of the perimenopausal women I work with are in the throes of mood fluctuations, vacillating between anxiety, sadness and rage. Some report brain fog or insomnia, hot flashes and other physical challenges. And then there’s the existential crunch of entering a new phase of life and managing the personal, interpersonal dynamics, and social pressures that go along with midlife.

However you feel, whatever you think about this transition is okay. There is no right way to navigate perimenopause and I am here to help.

Women Deserve Specialized Mental health Care for Perimenopause

All women who reach midlife will experience perimenopause and then menopause. Some women will experience them sooner. Perimenopause and menopause are not illnesses, they are developmental stages.

Rather than being held as the rite of passage it is, many women have their perimenopausal experience overly medicalized without regard for the emotional and spiritual impacts of this life changing transition.

This is where I come in.

Women deserve specialized, collaborative perimenopausal mental health support. And I am passionate about providing just that. I support women throughout California and Louisiana who are navigating the complex changes that come along with perimenopause and midlife.

How I help: Holistic Therapy for Perimenopausal Women - Online Therapy in California & Louisiana

I offer a holistic approach to supporting women going through perimenopause. This includes tending to matters of the mind, body, and spirit.

Wondering what this looks like? Well, since each person is unique in their physiology, emotions, and experiences, the constellation of symptoms will also be unique. Together, we’ll develop a care plan based on your individual needs and therapy goals.

Often that goal is: I just want to feel better!

And I want that for you too.

We’ll identify self-care practices and coping strategies to help you feel more resourced and resilient as you navigate your day-to-day. And concurrently, discuss what additional providers (OBGYN, reproductive psychiatry, acupuncture, pelvic floor PT, naturopathic medicine etc) may be helpful in adding to your support team.
